Are there any good duck hunting opportunities in Northwestern Arizona? I might be moving to the Kingman area. Just wondering what kind of hunting it is, if any, and what sorts of ducks make it down there. Thanks.

Upnorth,
I don't know about the Kingman area but just south of that area is Havasu NWR and there is hunting there as well as Pintail Slough and the CRIT (Colorado River Indian Tribe) reservation which also has hunting available. Further south I'm sure you can find areas along the Colorado River that will provide good hunting and only require the usual Federal and State waterfowl stamps and appropriate license depending on wether your hunting the Arizona or California sides of the river. South of Blythe California there is also another NWR called Cibola NWR which has a decent wintering population of ducks and geese. There are many other decent places to hunt waterfowl in Arizona and if you can pull up the AZGFD website and do a search for waterfowling or duck hunting areas and you should get some other good information. If there is anything else I can help you with shoot me a pm or my e-mail is widgnwhacker@aol.com

I would imagine there would about have to be specks down there. I mean cali is covered up in those things.
Havasu NWR s awesome for ducks and geese this year. It was the beat season we have ever had for honkers. Cibola had a lot of geese this winter, but they have a routine down and you need between 300-400 full bodies to pull down any.
