I am new to the forum as of two days ago. I have noticed there are not to many pics of ohio hunts on here. Here are a few from a couple of our hunts.

The golf course is right on the edge of city limits, but out of it. There is a large river than runs right through it. The geese love it there, but the owner of the golf course doesnt like their company. I have played the course for quite some time and approached him this past summer and said I would be willing to take care of his geese for him! ha Free of charge of course. Since I am such a nice guy. haha It took some persuading, but I finally talked him into it. What we do is we set up around 2-3 dozen FFDs along the bank where they loaf and put 6-10 Floaters in the middle of the river in a line to simulate birds coming up to the bank. The birds in the river kinda act like a buffer and they usually want to land just in front of them. This puts them at about 15 yards in our laps. We dotn kill so many ducks there, but we have shot the occasional diver and some blacks and green heads.
Hey, I dont discriminate. ha The coots have a season for a reason. The dog likes em, thats pretty much the whole reason why I do shoot them. Its good practice for him. ha

People call the cops on us all the time. They dont even come to check anymore. They also call the club house and tell the people working, " you know there are people on the golf course with shotguns?" Ya the band turn around is pretty good, espeacially in early season when all the resident birds are still around.
