Anybody use it for touching up decoys? Just got some wigeon decoys from the local Gander. I bought the box that looked the least mangled but on 3 of the 4 drakes there's some flakes of paint missing off the top of their head where they rubbed against the box during shipping I'm guessing. Just wanna touch them up and then put several coats of Krylon 1311 on them. Thanks.

It's good stuff and works very well on all types of decoys. Any place on my decoys w/ white or black that is what I use as a touch up or over coat. I have not used the Krylon 1311 although the idea interests me.

Cheers,

Adam

Brad at DSD suggested the Krylon paints a few years back. I have used the Krylon black the past couple years to touch up bills and tails.
Works well

Just used a little bit of it on a couple of dekes. Had a little bit run onto a part of the decoy I didn't want it to and tried to wipe it off with a rag. Not only did the white paint come off that ran but the paint that it rain onto came off as well. That's some nasty stuff. That Krylon 1311 seems to work pretty well though. Did a light scratch test after applying 3 coats of it and no paint chipping occured. Would be nice if that stuff could be put on them while they were still at the factory as part of the production process.
