Did the license for everyone else go up too? How about the Federal Duck Stamp? Cali is $38.85 just for the paper to put your stamps on. What is everyone else paying?

I don't know if all of the slob hunters are poor. It may deter some people which means less pressure and less revenue for wetlands. I don't like paying more but I'm not going to sit home.

Haha youve got it in your veins, its like crack huh? I cant just sit back and watch either. Unfortunately your in Cali so everything costs more, nice place but with all you residents getting eaten by cougars things are bound to get more expsensive. JK about the cougars I havent heard anything in the news yet this summer.
BUt seriously I dont know why you guys are always paying so much more, Liberal hippies perhaps?

Not sure what a slob hunter is to you, but they aren't the ones buying the licenses. So, I don't think that raising the price will do anything except take more money out of my pocket. Yes, that is good for the wetlands, but I contribute $80 for a license in TX (fish, hunt, waterfowl, saltwater, duck stamp, etc.) as well as Delta and Ducks Ultd. membership. I don't need another price hike. Gas has taken all my extra for wetlands.

I dont care how expensive hunting gets I will still do it. There is nothing that could make me stop. The more expensive it gets the fewer trips I will make but those fewer trips are going to produce alot more birds. This year my days are almost cut in half I will more than likely only hunt around 35-40 days this year compared to 60-70 last, but the half of the days I am cutting is those back door hunts that only turn into $20 at the gas station in the morning and a half our drive.

I buy liscences for Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas- Hunt and Fish combo, plus two of them are out of state. It hurts the wallet, but hunting is what I do. Luckily most of my hunting spots are within a 25 mile drive of my home so gas prices won't hurt too bad.

Nothing for me either, but federal and state stamps. I listened to my dad and bought a lifetime hunting and fishing about 8 years ago. Just wish I would've listened a little sooner when they were only 100 bucks a piece. I paid 240 a piece when I got mine. Even if I move away my lifetime licenses are good.

Virginia is $18 for the license, $10 for the state stamp and then the $15 federal stamp. All licenses went up to $18 a couple years ago (big game tags, fishing, archery, muzzleloader). That $18 for each type of hunting adds up. Like some of you have said already, hunting is what I do. I am not going to give it up if it costs me three times that much each year. However, this year it is going to cost me $72 in licenses just to hunt during bow and muzzleloader seasons. That is pretty steep, but I will be out there every second I get.

Well for those of us who are less fortunate as I am, I buy my licenses as soon as I end up with extra money you dont have to wait until the weekend before opener to rush in and get them quick. Beats the crap outta waiting behind someone trying to buy a license and doesnt know what they want, man that drives me up the wall:mad: If your really hurting start next year and save literally $3 dollars out of each paycheck and you will have more than enough for licenses unless you hunt out of state then your just screwed.

My point is............Most if not all of that money especially where stamps are concerned goes back into funding our sport.
If you don't want to pay....DON'T PLAY......
And I live in one of the most expensive states per capita(NJ) so don't point fingers at me...its all relative

I don't know if the license fees have gone up or not here. I don't buy a license anymore.
I bought a LIFETIME license.
Big chunk of change when I bought it but, it now saves me a couple hundred dollars every year.
Deer tags I think are $25 each now... and in my home county you can shoot 12 deer.

It's definately going up. For my buddies to get thier fishing (freshwater/saltwater) and hunting license last year, their Annual Public Hunting (APH) permit, and federal stamp, it cost them $127 last season. There's talk of another license increase in Texas within the next two years or so. I got a lifetime license due to some unfortunate circumstances but it has saved me on average $64 a year so far. I'm also protected against any license fee increases or stamp increases. Only thing I have to worry about going up is the Federal duck stamp ( which I gladly would pay more should they raise it) and my APH permit.
