Hypothetical question:
If you were starting over and were buying all new camo this year for not only waterfowling, but for deer and turkey as well, what camo would you get. It doesn't have to be just one camo pattern, but if you were picking just one brand, which and why? I know some guys are as picky and loyal about their camo as they are their calls and that's ok...haha.

Mossy Oak. Because of all the new patterns they are comeing out with that are geared towards waterfowl hunting.

If i could have only one camo for everything, it would be Nat Gear. And i only have a few items in natgear as we speak, but soon to get much more. Just started to realize how universal it is. I also like the new avery buckbrush would love to have a mess of clothes and gear in it also!

thanks guys. I also really like natgear and some of the newer mossy oak stuff is nice too. I really like the new bottomland pattern and duckblind could be useful in some of my spots, but I'm mainly like you all. I think natgear is about the best for a variety of situations. I've got a nice natgear fleece vest for sale. It's brand new, but has the rnt logo on it, so I don't need it anymore...just for your consideration...haha.

I have used em all. Wetlands, Shaddow grass, Max 4, Mossy Oak, Realtree, even just old school army fatigue. To me it has not mad any difference. Hardwoods works just fine in the corn and wetlands works just fine in the thick woods.
Too many people are worried about stuff like that. Everything they wear has to match and everything has to be the same brand.
I hunted all of last year with brown waders, max 4 coat, wetlands hat and hard woods gloves. I was sitting on a rock/drift wood pile when I killed most of my birds.

Have you checked out the new stuff from avery, Buck Brush, Marsh Grass, and KW-1. All of these camo patterns are unbelievable. The Buck Brush would work for just about anthing, from deer hunting to turkey hunting, this stuff if cool.
I also use Mossy Oak camo as well, you just cann't go wrong with New Breakup. For turkeys though I use Obsession.
But if I had a lot of money and wanted to get new stuff I would go with the new Avery stuff it is awsome.

In many ways Camo is our "Fashion Show" as hunters. You can say what you want but that's really what 75% of it is. I have moved to almost 100% Natgear over the last 2 years (becasue that's what I think looks the best in most areas I hunt) but I used Original Shadowgrass for many many years until I first caught wind of it being discontinued.
There is a lot to be said for those that can keep still and their face down (NO matter what they wear ;) )

I love Natgear!!!! It's my favorite camo pattern, it's very universial. You can use it almost anywhere!!!! Avery BuckBrush is growing on me, but Natgear is still my #1!!

Old brown camo. . .all these "new" camo patterns are funny to me. Can you say marketing hype.

KW-1 for hunting in wheat, barley, corn, and oats.
BuckBrush for pea fields and in the woods.
MarshGrass for most water hunting.

I honestly would buy each of the new Avery Camo patterns!
I think each of the new patterns are the best I've ever seen! The BB will work perfect for our darker tones here on the west side and the KW1 will dissappear in our corn fields. The marshgrass will absolutely work perfect in our field grass'!
I plan to have a full line up of each camo in the near future!

I have not seen the new Avery patterns, yet, but NAT Gear is the best all-around pattern that I have found.

Mossy Oak, There are some really good camo's out. I have used the new Duck Blind Camo and it has been a good pattern thus far.

speaking of mossy oak...what do you all think of the new bottomland pattern? I know it's darker, overall, than natgear, but do you think it's a pretty versatile pattern. I'm not too concerned about field hunting, as I'm usually in a layout blind anyway. Also, has anyone seen this pattern on the drake line? Does it seem to have a shine to it, when it's used on garments using their hardshell material? thanks

Mossy Oak Shadowgrass a must. Supposedly "new" Mossy Oak Bottomland. The prob is that it was an old pattern that was used twenty years ago. I had some of my dad's Bottomland camo shirts passed down to me. I still wear them.

My favorite all around camo for the past few years has been Natgear, because it can practically blend in anywhere. Now since the new Avery camo is avalable I use KW-1 in flooded grain fields and I cant wait to get my hands on some Buck Brush....... that stuff is gonna be awesome!!!

Definitely Nat Gear but MAX-4 is right up there and the KW-1 is growing on me. Buck Brush also has me interested but I think I would rather have Nat Gear for versatility (have the same darker shade to them).

Well there are people who like to disapear into their surroundings and then their are people who enjoy glowing in the dark........seems like you may be the latter.....
I love Natgear.....but i also just wear a green sweater sometimes.... or a green shirt.....or a brown jacket.....Ive killed ducks wearing just about anything you can think of.......but all of my clothes are natgear......I do have an old flannell shirt that I got from my grandpa.....Old green and black splotch camo.......I love wearing that shirt it is so dang comfortable.......Call it my "throwback Jersey..."

i did a little test the other night with the new buck brush. it actually blends better than nat gear does. i could not freaking believe it. i should have taken some pics...maybe i will tonight...i really like nat gear but the BB is getting a big thumbs up from me.

Great question and a topic that ruffles my feathers abit. It seems to me like the days of having one camo to cover it all are gone, and you need this or that camo depending on your terrian. I would pick the old mossy oak shadow grass in a heart beat if they still made it, but as it is now - I would go and plan on switching to all Nat gear. Seems like the only camo company that is sticking to their guns, and not making a new and improved verison every year.

Natural Gear and KW-1 are the two best patterns there are. IMO.

I'd go with our new Buck Brush all the way. I am planning on having some of it to archery elk and deer hunt out here this year plus ducks and geese through the winter. I love that pattern for all around. I think I'll end up with some Marsh Grass as well to do some late season deer hunting in the desert with.

speaking of mossy oak...what do you all think of the new bottomland pattern?
I like it, but I tend to look at the nostalgic side of duck hunting. I try to shy away from most of the fancy stuff, but the MO Bottomland is not a new pattern. My dad has countless Bottomland shirts and pants in the back of the closet, some of which are about as old as I am. I love Bottomland, mainly because I don't think it looks like everything else. On a side note, I am a huge fan of Shadowgrass as well.
