Hydro Turf question

I was wondering about Hydro Turf. I have an old fiberglass boat that I had to take out the floor as part of it is rotton. Instead of refiberglassing it could I just put Hydro Turf over the top of the plywood floor? This way I could kill two birds with one stone, that is if I can get the motor working first.

Nobody use this stuff or anything similar like a spray in bed liner?

Yes I have it in my boat. Its pretty nice and I like it since it won't freeze up in winter when wet like carpet does... Better on my dog and me! I have it both on the metal floor and on a marine plywood lid over my bilege area. It works well and mine has been on for 2-3 seasons now. I have the staright grooved version so water runs off.
