Do they use the new double mag and open water in this????

Or at least show them, I should have asked before I bought it, but the excitement got the best of me.

Is that three pack going to be available in any stores or is it just going to be direct from you guys at the shop?

Two thumbs way up! Another great production from the Zink boys. I liked everything about the dvd, from the awesome footage to the behind the scenes shot at Coccos place. I have to say that I enjoyed the two willow slough hunts the most. Good Stuff! Congrats to the Zink boys. All the hard work really paid off.

I liked it, but it really wasn't great to me.

For one, Freddy has the double mag section right in the beginning and he doesn't blow the dang call. He says its his favorite call now, and he doesn't blow it. What is the deal with that, from what I can tell you don't get to see either of the new calls on this, or hear them I should say.

I know dogs are a huge part of waterfowling for most, but I could do without all the dog stuff. Once you have seen one dog come back with a bird you have seen them all, so there was way to much of that for me.

I am to much about calling for most people, I didn't get to hear enough of it on this video, I buy these because they are ZINK, a call company, I want to hear the calls.

Didn't seem to be enough actual hunting, calling and shooting on there for me, it really seemed like you could have put a couple of these hunts on the goose video again.

It left me thinking man I would really like to see like 3 straight just hunts now, just you out in the water or field, hitting the calls and shooting.
Where as everything on here is part of the hunt, I want to see more of "THE HUNT" not all of the talking at the lodge, how to make a boat, why a river dog is better then my dog, and driving. Throwing out decoys, I wouldn't mind watching this if you explained what you were doing and why, while you were doing it.

I know all of that is part of the experience, but to me its stuff you have to EXPERIENCE to appreciate, I don't want to watch someone drive, or throw out decoys, that isn't exciting.

I like hockey, but I don't want to watch the pros drive to the arena, and watch them put their equipment on, I want to watch HOCKEY. If you get what I am saying. :)

CFL i agree with you. I wish freddie would have blown the call. All the dog stuff, they have dog videos. But i enjoy seeing the dogs work on the one hunt with yella on the creek hunt. Wish it was a little longer. But i liked it

i kinda know what you're saying. the dogs does get a little old. however i LIKE watching them throw out the dekes. that is one of the reasons why i love Zink videos. i like to see what makes them successful, not just the killing. if you like the non-stop killing you need to check out the Falllin skys videos. i dont like them because it is just too much shooting.

you have to remember that only about 10% of the hunt is shooting;)

Throwing out the dekes when you can't see the spread is pointless, you still don't know what formation of spread they are running.

And I own the fallin skies videos, as well as the duck commanders, as well as the fowl pursuits, as well as Gardners etc.... They all have their place.

And I will buy Zinks two goose videos, but this video needs more of the actual hunt. Doesn't need to be all kill shots, but some more of them calling and working birds, and yes, it ends up with the kill shots.

Anyone thinking this video is to short, thinking they want to see more of some hunts, is thinking the same thing.

All the extra stuff like the boat building, and the dog training can be put in a menu at the beginning of the DVD labeled extras. When you watch DVDs 3, 4, 5, or 500 times this extra stuff gets really old, you watch for the hunt.

how is seeing how the pros putting out decoys pointless... you think they put out there intire spread, get field or clay to video fred talking about it and then switch it before they start filimg? All hes doing is trying to help some guys out and show them how he dose it. I don't think its pointless what so ever. its showing the experience of the hunt

calling4life

They don't show how they have it out though, they just show them throwing a few decoys out, you may be able to see how some of the decoys are spread out throughout the hunt. But not the whole spread formation.

But they don't explain it, and since you obviously don't get what I mean.

Example: Today we had the birds coming from the west which is from this direction..., so what we did (show the whole spread) is put the decoys out in this J to get them to come right across the front of us for the best shot.

This morning what happened was we set the decoys out in two groups one on each side, well we found that the wind switched on us and the birds came from the left, then wanted to land on the left side of that group of decoys. So we had to move them like this ( show the decoys) and make one group on our right with a few in front, this had the ducks fly right across the front and land just to our right, as to provide the best shot for everyone since they pealed back into the wind.

Those are two examples of what some decent explaining would be, explaining not only how they put the decoys out, but showing us the exact spread, and explaining why.

I just received and have been blowing the PH2 DM and the PH1 OW...they will be hot items this year for sure. They should win many a meat calling contest...birds in the decoys too.
