What would you guys suggest as the "best" pattern to get for hunting saltwater marshes? I hunt out of blinds and boats but often find myself "laying-out" because my boat can't get to the spot, no blind etc. I currently wear shadow grass and have been successful, but sometimes I feel like the pick up my form. The KW-1 looks great but then the Buckbrush is really cool too. Thanks.

In the salt Marshes around here KW1 is unbeatable. The primary species of grasses in these marshes (inland salt grasses and alkali sacatan) are short clumpy grasses that match the color and density of KW 1. I can't wait to get photos of huting in these conditions this year!! NOW SOMEONE MAKE SOME KW 1 WADERS!!!!!!

In the salt/brackish waters up here I think the Marshgrass will be the ticket. KW is a very close but the Marshgrass has a little more brown in it and with blend in flawlessly for us. I too currently use shadowgrass but am switching over to Marshgrass.

The KW-1 blends in perfect to all of my hunting spots. Great in corn fields, is invisible some of our pond banks, It even blends in to the late season reeds really well. I will however have a pair of waders in BuckBrush for the flooded willow sloughs and timber holes, not to mention its great along the river.
It all mostly comes down to the terrain you hunt. If you hunt alot of flooded timber, you dont want to look like a clump of dried out grass or corn stalk. Vise versa. And remember NaturalGear is a great neutral pattern that blends in almost anywhere, from corn fields to timber.
You will just have to remember what the area around you looks like and match as best as you can.
