View Full Version : Zink Spec Call
Has anyone used the Zink spec call, if so, how well did you like it compared to the Sean Mann Acrylic, or the RedBone Acrylic.
I am going to pick up one of these calls in the next few days and just cant make up my mind on this!

I have no blown the other two, but the Zink Spec is going to be a deadly call in my opinion. Its easy to blow, sounds like a spec and really whaled on is loud and specy.
If you pick up a Zink Spec, you wil not be dissappointed.

Not sure how it compairs to the other calls but its pretty darn good. They are extremly loud. Plan on killing a bunch of those heavy bared ones.

This is a great call. I just bought it in KC two weeks ago and I am excited to use it this year.

That call will also work for Snows as well. I tried it out this weekend that way and was pleased with the sound.

ok im no PS'er but here is my honest answer!of the 3 calls there the redbone is the best in my mind!!!!! with the zink second, and then the sean mann speck ( i have never been able to get it to sound right!
i have tried 4 differant zink speck calls and only liked 1!!!! so to me there is some tuning differances. the one that i have does sound good but it has its limits it cant scream high tends to stay down low and my biggest peave about this call that im thinking about takeing it back to trade to a differant call is this call sticks!!!!!!!!! and i mean stick i had to take the reed out to get it unstuck!!!!!!!!! a speck call shouldnt lock up!!!!!!
the redbone is a custom call that you can have nathen tune it up anyway you want!!! and he gives you a DVD and a CD to learn with i have had no problems with mine!
other calls you can also look at are JJ lares speck and Basin waterfowl, and River forks calls. all sweet sounding speck calls!!!!! not trying to talk you out of the Zink but im just saying please try one before you buy it!

I think the Zink speck call is a piece of crap, go with the Redbone it makes the zink call sound like a kazoo........

I've never tried a Zink Spec call but I've had a Redbone for the last year and it's a very sweet sounding call and I think you can't go wrong with a Redbone. They're pricey but well worth it in my opinion.
Thanks for the replies guys, and RedBone is a great call and Nathen is a Great guy, I got a chance to check out the Zink call at Cabelas, its not even in the same ball park as RedBone. I just did not want to bite off the price of one, but no need in buying one that is sub par......
