Thats probably the only way you could get them for free, is at a show. Unless a Zink staffer sent you a few.

Yea I had that dream as well man.
When you practice for contests you burn through a lot of reeds, and at 3 bucks a pop, practicing all year round, that gets to be a lot of money. Especially when shipping kills you as well.
Would be nice if when you bought an acrylic call you at least got reeds for cost or just a short margin over. It's good publicity seeing their call names in top places at contests, I would think sending out some reeds for free, or close to cost would be a great way to repay us.
But that's life.

Justin- Please don't say none of us have pm'd you back. I did within minutes of you sending the PM. I am sorry I didn't have any to give you. We pay for them just like anyone else, but either way, I just didn't have any. Sorry. Waterfowl weekend some of the guys will be up, and they may have some with them, or if you need them sooner, you can call the shop.
Thanks
Mark

You know, if you go to a craft shop and get the proper thickness, you can cut your own reeds from mylar sheets, its easy to do and is way cheaper than two bucks a pop from the shop. These won't cost you ten bucks to ship either.

But then you will never have 2 reeds that are the exact same. I used to do this too, but then as your guts break in, they tend to get an un uniform groove.

My apologies on not returning your PM immediately. You will understand one day when you work a full time job, assist Avery as a Flyway Manager, assist my wife with raising two children and assist aging parents that you need to prioritize your time. I had you on my list but you were not the top priority. You are 16 and your priorities are just a little different then mine. I am not knocking you because of your age. I think it is great that young guys like yourself are fired up about our great sport of watefowling. You guys are the future but please have some patients with us older guys.
