quick question will the motion cones work on the looker bodies?

They will, but you have to make sure that you find the exact balance point.

The balance point is key. The nice part about the cone inside is that you can still use the foot base if you want to.

I can understand wanting more motion in a spread but when a goose is in that stance he's not moving a lot except maybe moving his head.

i actually have all of mine on motion cones and added a 3/4" bolt through the under part of its tail to bring some weight back....I think it looks awesome, cause it looks like a honker slowly waddling....

Is it too much motion if you turn the stake around and lock it into the cone? I'd like to do the same simply to reduce some weight and room in the bag. I don't want motion, any suggestions? Retract-a-base retrofit? :D

at the omaha cabelas last weekend, i asked the question to fred zink, are you considering putting the retractabase on the lookers? he said that they will be looking to do that down the road with a new looker! he also mentioned that 30 decoys will be either new or upgraded next year  :)

Now see that's different!! You added weight to slow the movement.

But then again you did believe the part about a copperheadedrattlemocaasin!!

Scott hit the nail on the head, just do yourself a favor and leave the foot base on there.

I choose to have motion on my lookers....The lookers have a thick neck, show lots of "chest" and have a tail that is lower than any other decoy (aggressive). This is important. You will get a great look either way, but motion is what i choose to do...........

I have to agree. You can start splitting hairs with what decoy is moving how, but you should get all the motion you need with the standard motion decoys. You should start focusing on concealment, calling and flagging next.
