I am wondering if Avery make a cheap range of lesser decoy to get modified to our New Zealand Paradise duck.. ?

The paradise is bigger than the mallard and smaller than a Canada.

A lesser decoy would be perfect if I could get my hands on some plain or basic body shapes that I could modify to become parries.

... any help team ?

Thanks guys

Thanks Paul for the "heads up"

I don't shoot alot of Parries as they are TOO easy to decoy and shoot and they are simply a very beautiful bird - That said, I have seen the lesser decoy here in N.Z. at Tracey's, however it was the pro model, and while great to have, at the price they want for them here.... well, simply not an option !

Hence the question as above.

I have seen your painted Mallard Shells ( Ha ... the wonders of the net ) and may I say what a nice paint job !! I'm sure they fooled every bird that saw them - again, well done.

The body shape of our Paradise ducks is quite different to that of the Mallard..... much more like the lesser or snow goose.

Hence...

My question still stands - Do Avery make a standard lesser or snow decoy I can paint up as Paradise ( N.Z. ) Ducks ???

Cheers

What about the T&T snow shells?

The snow FB's are cheaper than the given Canada counterpart, If I were buying decoys to paint I would probably look there as a start.

You could also go with the speck. The heads aren't flocked.

We don't make any blank decoys for sale. We are working on Paradise ducks for the upcoming season. I don't know that they will be as big as the Lesser Canada geese. Tracy told me that a mallard size duck would work excellent as they are very easy to decoy.

I will keep you posted as any samples become available.

Thanks,
