my worst duck opener....read this

so yesterday (friday) the day before the MN duck opener i was playin a little bit of football at the park before our HS game, well no one really wanted to tackle me so instead they all decided to trip me instead. Well it was the last play and then we were gonna go to the HS game in mound. I received the kick and i was running full board towards the endzone....JUST before i was gonna score the touchdown a leg came out and managed to trip me.....BOOOM there i was flyin through the air, i tried to brace myself but that didn't quiet work. I had landed on my shoulder snapin my collarbone. Guys on the other side of the field had said they heard it snap it was so loud. So there was was layin on the ground not to worried about the pain, but worried if i was gonna be able to go duck hunting in 8 hours. Well i was rushed to the ER and i had my X-ray and sure enough the collarbone is broken. Doc said i'm done hunting and done with sports for a whole 6 weeks!!! this is gonna be the toughest 6 weeks of my life guys so i'd greatly appreciate it if you keep me up to date on all your guy's hunts and share some pictures and stories with me. This year was the first year i've ever missed opening waterfowl season...I am completely upset:( , so please keep me up to date on all you guys..thanks guys

dang dude that sucks so much i know how you feel about missing opening day i have not been out on opening day in three years because it has always opened on a week day while i am in school and my mom wont let me miss school but i have been out in the field hurt like last year i had tendonitis during turkey season and thats alotta walking and it hurt like an SOB but i toughed it out and got a nice big one but my uncle had to carry me back to the truck but yea i am sure if you were able to shoot you would be out there

dang that sucks. i kinda know how you fell because i missed my last Delaware youth hunt today. i think i would still try to go, even if i couldnt shoot.

Man I feel for ya. Two years ago I shattered a bone in my foot the day before turkey season, I had a big boy patterned well too. Missed the whole season but the last day, in which with the help of my dad, had 4 big toms coming directly in. They just about get within range when a guy on the piece of ground next to us went screaming on a four wheeler down the fence line. Of course the birds got the heck out of there and the guy just did that and left. I was so disappointed all I could do is laugh. Hang in there.

WOW! That sucks dude! Watever you do dont watch any hunting videos while your hurt whatsoever, it will just make you want to hunt even worst. I wish you the best of luck man!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Don't worry too much about it, you have many many years of waterfowling ahead of you. I broke my collar bone one week before the opener three years ago, so I know how you feel. Just make sure you do what the doctor tells you to and don't go do anything stupid like trying to hunt.

I hope you heal up quickly and can get after a few ducks in a couple months.
