My dog and I are going out for our very first duck hunt on thursday and friday of this week and Im getting pretty ancy. I keep checking over my gear to make sure everything is in order and ready to load up on thursday morning.
Does anyone have any last minute tips for me? This is my first hunt so Im all ears. What are "must haves" when you head to the duck blind for a day? Im trying to start a checklist so it'll be easier next time.
thanks...ill post some pics up ....hopefully we will have something to take pics of.

Goose,
Mike pretty much hit it on the head. I planned on bringing some water bottles out, fruit, some sunflower seeds, ammo, and tp(thanks ...i would've never thought that)...i have two calls, about 2 dz decoys, i have to get some weights for some of them on tuesday night...and that is about it at this point. am i missing anything important...im gonna have a cooler at the truck to take the birds home...or at least the breast.

Don't forget a head lamp, and also be careful about field dressing the birds. If you are going to clean them in the field, you must leave one wing on for identification purposes (by law). I usually just clean them when I get home, they won't go bad unless it is really hot outside.
