Well it finnaly came!!!!!! OPENER!!!!
My friend and I meet up at my house arond 5 AM and headed to our spot (about 10 mins away). We were hunting a public lake that we scouted and had some good spots, we pulled up to the boat launch and backed her in. I jumped in the water and guided it off and my friend went to park the truck. We jumped in the boat and headed to our spot, we got there to find that a new blind had been built :D . We waited about a half an hour its about 5:40 AM now. No one showed up so early bird gets the worm, we put out or spread we had 2 1/2 dz mallards, 1/2 dz woodies and a mojo. So we got settled in and got redy, at 7:11 am it was time to load up and watch out. We had a few mallards go across the lake and they saw our mojo and then saw another guys spread (about 5dz deeks) on the other side. we saw some more ducks fly over there, then we herd some honks. we had 3 fly over but they were to high up to shoot at :mad: so we passed them up. all of a sudden we herd a splash a duck had ploped right in the spread, it was a ring neck. so we jumped up to make it fly and boom nailed him! That was our only duck that day but its a good start!! were going out tommarow so I will post a follow up story! Heres some pics:
