We've just taken a long popple pole that we "found" and tied the mojo pole to it. It works in 10' of water.

bought a pole at the hardware store and put an edge on one side. Then tape the two together and walla.

Just get a piece of 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe and stick the mojo pole in that. This way you cut the pipe as long as you want it. When your done, just get some olive or tan spray paint and paint the pipe.

3/4" thinwall square tubing whatever length you are after. hammer the one end flat.

here is the mojo poles that i have...they are about 4' tall and have a base plate. They work awesome in fields and water, especially rocky river bottoms. I have used them 3 seasons now and wouldn't change a thing....i did cover them with a little brown and primer gray mix recently

did you just weld a base to it out of sheet metal?

We just took our regular mojo pole and welded rebarb onto the rest of it and however tall you want to make it. Rebarb works very well and gives the pole a good base 2 or 3 feet in the mud.

Try making them out of something that cannot support the weight of a mojo. That way the mojo will break the stick and it will fall it the water so you can kill more birds.

Conduit works great and is cheap and light.

I pressed one end flat and ground it to a point. Also welded a flatbar to the side and a step to push it into the mud.

I am currently working on a setup that will allow me to use my mojo in ANY water depth!

We just took our regular mojo pole and welded rebarb onto the rest of it and however tall you want to make it. Rebarb works very well and gives the pole a good base 2 or 3 feet in the mud.

I used rebar also. I cut the Mojo Pole into 4-5 pieces, and welded it onto 1/2" Rebar. I made a 10' , 6', & 3' poles. I have also hard wired all 3 mojos into a 12volt car battery box, with a 6volt reducer. Each mojo has it own curcit with a on/off switch, and reostat.

I have found that if you can slow down the wing speed, it will allow the wings to gather more light on cloudy, early mornings, and snowing days. On sunny days you get it back to full speed. Most people have trouble with the mojos on cloudy days, not being as effective as on sunny days. I have been working on this for a couple years, and it seems to be working. Plus with every pass of the birds you can change the total look of the spread, different mojos on with each pass. Also with a direct On/Off switch you can make the wings actually flutter, just turning over 2-3 times, and then off. Unlike the remotes, that if it comes on, you can get it right back off, or you can get it on when you want it. Just keep punching the button, until it does come on, and then it won't go off.

I have made several of these boxes for others, and it seems to be working very well. By getting the mojo higher, you change the angle of how far the birds can be and still see you. We hunt in pot hole, so if the mojo is on the regular stick the bird haft to be looking right in the pot hole to see the mojo. By gettting it on a 10' pole, it is much higher, and let's ducks that are not within sight of the pot hole, can see the mojo on the 10' pole. cooter
