With the Illinois opener this weekend, we are planning the opening morning “blind breakfast”. I was wondering what might be on the menu for some the rest of you or what your favorite blind breakfast might be? We’ll be cooking up steak, eggs and hash browns, they’ve become our opening morning tradition. We’re looking to expand the menu. Any suggestions?

Muffins, little debbies, spam, coffee, pop, not the best but it seems to do the trick

I don't make breakfast in the blind. But I like to feed the birds a hot face full of steel! Yee Haw!

When we have time we cook big like that on a cabelas camp stove. If we don't have a nice laid back morning, granola bars and your thermos is all you got.

I just bought a boat this summer and we cooked for the first time in the boat this past weekend for the Early Plains KS opener. Our menu consisted of bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, onions, and cheese fried together then rolled up in tortillas so that we didn't have to bring plates and utensils. It worked out great.

I had never really thought of doing a special breakfast for the opener, but that is a good idea.

Our usual is anything from Pancakes (the Bisquick shake and pour work real well) to the Jimmy Dean breakfast bags with some scrambled eggs on top, to french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, what ever you can do in a kitchen I can do in the blind.

Some days we go easy on breakfast and I make Fajitas for brunch around 11 or so chicken, beef, and pork fajitas.

We have a three burner stove in each blind and a full kitchen set-up in the hard sided blind.
