I was wondering if there is a coating or something of the sort that can be applied to the Real Grass to better protect it from the elements?

I want to keep it from being destroyed when I use it on my boat blind..

any help will be appreciated

Thats the whole point of it. The more worn and wheathered it gets the more realistic and natural it will look, it will make it blend in way better.

If you are worried about it falling off or something, I would just make sure you take the time to put it on good and you will have nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the quick reply...
Being unfamiliar with the product, I wasn't sure what the life expectancy would be so I figured I'd ask...
I mounted it to some plastic fencing and we used about 600 tie-wraps on 8 sheets of it..so we made sure it was securely fastened..
No one I know around here has any experience with it, so I just wasn't sure..

I've sprayed Thompsons Waterseal on RealGrass and it's held up well. Just fill an empty spray cleaner bottle and wet it down. I've never done it to KillerWeed, but it may be worth a try. The KillerWeed wears out quickly. Especially if you trailer it uncovered or let it drag in the water. Natural camo material is expensive. I don't blame you for trying to preserve it.

No problem. The stuff I have used lasted a good while, but like anything it will show some wear and tear after alot of use. If you put it on there good, I wouldnt worry about. I got two seasons out of mine, but I didnt use it every time I went out either. Once it gets that natural look, you cant beat it on a boat or a tree stand!

I agree....the natural look is why this stuff is so good. We have taken pieces off after the season, let them dry and them stored them for use the next season. The stuff really is pretty tough.

The idea is to remove it after every use and store it indoors..
I've mounted it on plastic fencing with a huge amount of tye-wraps
securing it around the weave areas where it is stronger..
We used somewhere in the area of 600-700 wraps in total..

I made 2 rolls 16' long using 4 sheets with each roll..

I do most of my hunting around salt water and that in itself is tough on equipment..

Since it was just unrolled, it hasen't relaxed yet but after a few minutes it falls into place very nicely
