Well, this has been spinnin around in my head for awhile, why doesnt Avery come out with feedin goose floaters, butt up, surface feeders, whatever the case, is there anybody else who thinks its a good idea and any knowledge as to if its been considered before?

thanks

Sounds like an awesome idea to me but I think that right now its just a $ issue. They would add quite a bit of confidence to any floater spread, but they might be a pain in the neck to transport; especially if they were low head surface feeders, and could cost too much to make compared to what they feel would sell to the average hunter.

Great idea though :) -I would definitely buy a set if they were on the market!:D

Thanks for the idea. We are always looking to help out the hunters. Keep the ideas coming.

Funny this thread comes up today. While throwing out my LS goose floaters this morning the furtherst one I throw, the head falls off as soon as it hitss the water, AND of course I threw it just out of reach of my waders.

As I looked at the decoy I said well it loooks like a no head duck feeder decoy, so lets leave it.

2 years ago I took a O/S goose floater and adapted a head from a Pro Grade full body feeder and it made it look like a surface feeder. Looked good an held up well. Still attached and looking good when I sold them last winter.

It has been talked about and it is a great idea. I hope to see it in the future.

I would like to see them as well. Prior to getting the GHG LS floaters I had the Carrylite suc bottom floaters. They had feeder heads on them along with a low head and high head. I bought extra heads to tailer make my spread to the hunting situation. I found myself using mostly feeder heads with a few low and high heads mixed in. I would then place 4-6 decoys off to the downwind side to represent a small flock that had just landed and was swimming in. I would have mostly high heads with one each low head and one feeder/drinker head in that group. GHG could make just an add on head(s) for the existing line without having to make a whole new body mold.

I'd love to see them as well. I'd put some in the spread for sure.
