I have a finisher and love it but it is less than fun to pack in

Im looking for a light pack in blind lets hear your opinions on both of them. I realize staffers response might be a little jaded. But im sure they both have their good and bad points?

I love my Power hunter i also have a xlander which is similiar to the express. I like the Power hunter because there is no frame which gives the blind a lower profile and it doesnt look like a giant bump in the field. It takes a little getting use to flipping the head cover but it is nice not to worry about hand movement and face concealment in the Power Hunter

I own an M2, Ground Force and a couple Power Hunters and I've used my PHs for 100% of my hunts so far this year. In fact, I doubt that I'll use the M2 or GF unless we get in some tall, dirty stubble or until the snow hits. The Power Hunter is comfortable enough to lay in for long periods, disappears in very little cover, is light when walking in and takes up very little space in the trailer.

I made the minor modification that many have made in removing the cross-bars in the hood of the blind. It dropped the profile another 5-6 inches and didn't affect my ability to see or call out of the blind.

It's also the blind I use exclusively when I'm taking action photos in the field.

I've hunted out of several of the FA Bllinds and the main reason I'm not a fan is the pin system they incorporate. The "ease" of set-up was anything but, especially at 5am in the dark with numb fingers.

My favorite blind on the market at this point is the Power Hunter. The ability to hide it anywhere really seals the deal for me.

I do not agree FA is junk. I own a FA blind, but I do love how low profile the Avery Powerhunter is. I use my FA blind when there is a bunch of cover and don't have to worry about concealing it as well. But def the power hunter.

Get an X-Landr! No parts to break and super comfy. We always have 1 in my bro's and my truck so when we need it we have one handy.

I use 2 blinds Cabela's Mobile One and Avery Powerhunter. I just started using the Mobile One this season and like it a lot. The both fold up to the same demision and weigh the same. There is no frame in the doors on the Mobie One but I have not had any problems with wind blowing them open. Both are great blinds but i tend to hunt a lot of muddy areas and my gun stays so much cleaner in the mobile one and plus its pretty comfortable and also has a much lower profile than your fullframe blinds!

At first i didnt like hunting out of a power hunter but after hunting out of Power Hunters for 2 years now i dont like hunting in anything but. One big advantage i think is that you can spin you head almost 300 degrees with out the birds seeing your face flashing out. Its as low profile as you can get. And as others have said take out the bar in the hood. It helps alot. Oh another thing is you dont have a bar to slip your feet under when you have size 15 boots on it is pretty nice to just be able to slip them in the sleeping bag style blind. Hope this helps.

Obviously many of you havent hunted out of express blinds. FA makes quality stuff as does avery. I have used them for 2 yrs now. They are great. We have 30 express and 15 power hunters and put customers in them every day we hunt.

There are many similarities between the 2. Weight of both is about 11.5 lbs. Height is 14 inches with FA and 1ft 10 in with power hunter (thats with bar in bubble) with out bar bout same as power hunter. Both very low profile. Both are mummy style bags.

Lets face it when the equipment is your own you take better care of it. We used to use finishers but our hunters were always breaking parts. Using frame to push them selves up and so on.

One differance that I like for safety is a removeable bar that takes literally 2 seconds to put in foot of bag that keeps the barrel of your gun in a safe position off ground and off of feet where lots of out hunters prop barrels up.

Comfort goes to the express. The majority of our customers have said they were more comfortable. However some customers prefur the bubble in the powerhunters for viewing exactly whats going on.

Go to Cabelas or BassPro and try them out yourself. Thats my advice.

I really like the Power Hunter because it is low profile and easy to set up. I also like the way that you can watch the birds without them seeing you.

Well said aggie.
I prefer the Powerhunter over any other blind due to its ease of set up, ease of transport.
I think it is easier to call from, and flag from with the lack of doors to hold you down. To each their own. I hunt from a Powerhunter almost all the time.
Try them out, and keep in mind the set up and take down as well as transport issues too. They all factor in.

I dont have any experience with the FA Express but this will be my 3rd or 4th year with the Power Hunter.

Great blind that is easy to carry into the field, conceal in any field from bean fields to chiseled corn, seeing and calling at the birds is very nice with the fliptop hood and the blind is also comfortable enough to lay in for an morning/afternoon hunt.

The only complaint if it is a complaint is when its very windy, the fliptop hood can keep coming back and shutting if you have it up. However, I have never had the fliptop come back when I flipped it up to shoot. Having your gun on the outside too can be a problem if you are hunting in snow/rain alot.

I also have a Ground Force but so far this year I am using the P.H. about 70%ish percent of the time because it hides so well and lighter to carry. This morning it was raining & hunted a corn field so I went with the G.F, this afternoon will probably be hunting a chiseled corn field so I'll go with the P.H.

Test drive both the FA and P.H. and see which one you like most.

I own both blinds but use the express 100% of the time. Lower profile, more comfortable, the material is heavy duty. Nothing against the power hunter, but I think the express is a much all around better blind and it’s cheaper.
