View Full Version : Didn't think it was possible! Field mallard hunt in Mid-Minnesota!

After doing some scouting this last saturday afternoon mic and i both stumbled onto a field with Mallards dropping into it. We were in seperate vehicles when we both noticed the birds divingg in, i was sitting right next to the field when mic came speeding up out of no where yelling did you see that. After knocking on a few doors we found the land owner and successfully got prmission! This was definately the most fun hunt i've had this year, i think mic would say the same! who would have thought that we could shoot mallards in a field around our home town. We ended up shooting our 8 Mallards with a bonus of 15 pigeons, could have shot a hundred pigeons but didn't want to waste the shells! Great Time Was Had!:)

Congrats guys, we are FINALLY starting to get birds to go into the fields, even though the fields are refuges, but its still a good sign! keep on em!

You clowns would put skoal in a picture! Good shoot guys! Mallards in the fields can be a great time for sure.... but so can geese ;)!

Nice hunt man, Im waitin on Delaware's second leg of the season to open on monday so I can whack em.

Although it would be alot better if you dipped Mint Skoal, now thats the shit to do, lol, I cant mess with the flavors, they taste like shit after you dip mint forever.
