Most the water is froze by me in southwest minnesota so i was wondering if anyone has hunted ducks with a tarp.. and if it works well?

Another thing i've done once is go get some blue Laundry Detergent and a mop and pour out all the detergent on the ice and use the mop and mop around an area on the ice and it looks like a small opening of water. Don't spread it out too far, you want it too look blue like water. Then take a couple fullbodys and but around the edge and maybe take one keel of a floater or if you got a floater without a keel and put it right in the middle of the detergent.

Or else take a chainsaw and cut a halfmoon about 15 yards out and ITS DEADLY have some mojos and water decs and youll have your limit within no time if your in the path of ducks

personally i have never heard of any of these methods. i am from south central minnesota and everything is frozen too, so maybe over this weekend ill have to try one of these methods.

i have heard a black tarp works better.. i have seen it used in fields too. using clumps of mud/weeds etc.. to break up the square outline. it supposedly funny when they try to land on it
