If it is well cleaned, there is no problem at all. Make sure it is well oiled and obviously no barrel obstructions and you will be fine.

I had my gun fully submerged in water before, as long as there is nothing in the barrell , and you broke it down and cleaned it and the put it back together, you should be ok.

Just as the others said, a good cleaning and it should be good to go. I fell in the water last winter with mine and it was so cold my firing pin froze. Bad thing was, I had more than a few geese in range when i realized what the problem was. A quick feild cleaning and thaw and I was back in business.

I had my Nova on the bottom of a lake for 6 weeks, got it out took it apart, oiled it and had it re-blued. Works just like the day I bought it, so you will be fine.

Its a Benelli. You could have dumped the water out and used it a few seconds later.

Andrew is correct, I don't want to do it again. (once is enough) But, we managed to flip the boat in 18 feet of water, and loose everything out of the boat, but we found almost everything. Actaully it was Black Friday of last year...34 degree water is cold
