broken head help

i love avery decoys and i will always continue to add to my little collection of lessers but during this past hunt i had a head snap off while the part that actually screws down on the head was still in the hole, im gonna call customer service to get a new head, all i am asking is how to get the rest of the head out of the hole without stripping it or further damaging the decoy,

It takes a little bit of work to get this part out. You basically want to start with a flat screwdriver and pry that cup toward the middle in a couple of spots. From there, you have a couple of choices. You can start cutting it out with a little wire cutter or grab it with a needle nose pliers and try and turn it out.
