Here is my problem. I'm changing my decoys from singles to longlines. I already finished all of my diver decoys, but I am having trouble with the puddlers. I want to be able to use them as singles or in my longlines. I've seen it where you clip on to the longline clip some extra line and a weight, but that seems to be a pain wraping and unwraping the line (the clip gets in the way). Any suggestions?

How about using H weights with some line on it? Try clipping 2 or 3 puddlers to it. It makes switching things out easy back to a long line. They are also good for filling a spread quickly.

I wanted to use some of my long line divers as singles as well. I just got some tanglefree weights, put about 6 feet of line on them, and tied a loop in the other end of the line. I can hang them in the shop by the loop when I'm using them on the longline, or clip the longline clip into the loop, then wrap the line around the keel when using them as singles. If you clip the tail of the line short where you tied your loop, you really don't have any issues with tangles.
