Is it possible to get 5 dozen of the 5/8 Shells, with heads removed, in a Mid Size 6 Slot Bag? Weight isn't an issue it's only for storage. I'm not sure which bag to order when I order the shells?
Thanks,

I just bought a dozen of these like an hour ago.
These things pack extremely well without heads, way better than I thought they would.
I couldn't see them not fitting in there without heads, but I don't know for an exact fact.
These things really have me excited to get after a snow goose.

Yeah, I'm finally going to be able to build a smaller sized snow goose spread, and I have decided to go with the 5/8 shells. Just haven't figured out how I plan to transport them.

Well, I've got two of the mid-size bags and I got 5 dozen between the two. I got 2 dozen actives in one, with 4per slot, and 3 dozen feeders in the other at 6 per slot. You might be able to get more, but the fit will be really tight. I've got one of the honker bags that I have 6 dozen feeders in, but that sucker is really heavy.

How large of a spread are you planning on going with? For me the mid-size bag with 3 dozen feeders in it was perfect and I was able to manage it easily and it wasn't too heavy. Course, I'm not a big fella at all so I'm probably a little more limited on what I'm able to carry.

I got my hands on 2 used hockey equipment bags. I can fit 2 dozen feeders and 1 dozen actives in each bag. The bags have large pockets on each end that easily fit all the heads. The stakes fit right in w/ the shells. The bags have beefy shoulder straps and zippers aswell. Everything fits perfectly and I believe the bottoms of the bags are waterproof too.

I plan on having 15 doz. by next fall. I'm starting out with 5 doz., and then throughout the summer I'll pick up the rest when I can. I will be able to haul these into the field on a small trailer pulled by ATV so I will not be carrying them or walking in with them on my back.
