Ok just a few questions for you calling comp guys out there?

1) Difference in Types of classes like Meat and other styles?

2) Is one style easier than the other?

If you guys are callers I would love to know your calls ya use for each styles and why?

Thanks guys all the help and info ya can share would be great!

Meat/Live goose: In meat style comps you call like you are out hunting or in a hunting situation.
In live goose you try to sound like a bunch of geese and the closest to real you can get.

Mainstreet: Its kind of the same layout as the meat routine but you are louder, faster, have more trick notes and are calling strictly for the judges appeal instead of birds.

The layout of a Mainstreet routine is almost the same as a meat routine but you have more trick notes and flare in a mainstreet comp.

Layout:

Mainstreet: Loud, crisp clear Hails, start into your greeting then transition into your intermediate stuff(this is also the fastest part of your routine), start to lay the birds down, they flare off and you transition into your come back portion, you turn them back, greet them again and them finish with laydown(fancy train notes and stuff like that).

The layout for duck comps is pretty much the same.
Hope that helps some?
