I just bought a new boat. It is a 14 foot jon. However, it is an old fisherman's boat and it is a shiny silver color. I am thinking about putting a dark green as the base color, then tracing an outline of camouflage with a stencil. Is there a certain paint brand that any of yaw would reccomend, it will be my first time. Thanks.

Parkers Duck Boat Paint from Cabelas is good stuff. So far its held up decent on my SeaArk. Takes a day to dry but 2 coats make for a tuff coat

I will second Parkers Paint. Great base coat or even great "only coat" ;).

Parker's is the way to go for sure. Make sure you clean the aluminum very good, get an aluminum cleaner if you can find one and that + the Parker paint you'll be good.

Another vote for Parker's.
Just be sure to prep it right like already mentioned.

im in the same boat as you (no pun intended haha)... I'm in the process of powerwashing/sanding old paint off my new boat. I heard that a/c coil cleaner works great for preping the aluminum, it cleans it all. Anyone else reccomend that?
