yeah that is just crazy to try and bring out a rip off of GHG decoys and then trying to sell more expensive than GHG. They must have been bumped when they made that price. lol yeah right who would buy them.

I don't think Avery is going to be too worried about competition from Carrylite. And as far as "rip-off's" go, I think every company that builds decoys is guilty of ripping off nature if you really want to get technical about it. Boeing is guilty of ripping off gliding birds, and the US Navy is guilty of ripping off the fish with those fancy submarines. It goes both ways, and that's the nature of the business. Build a product that looks like another with a slight modification to circumvent patent infringement, and change the price point (+ or -). This has been the American way for as long as I can remember.

I was so hoping this was going to be a carry-lite duck decoy picture. I was gonna say, "yeah they look familiar, they look like what gets thrown in the garbage can by any smart hunter". I wouldn't even use there duck decoys for a lawn ornament.

I'll tell you guys, you are sure quick to slam other decoy companies. You may be right some of them didn't make the greatest decoys on earth. They are catching up in developeing better decoys, now that they are looking like real geese you still complain? That is a plus for the consumer. I have personally dealt with Carry Lite and Final Approach, their warrantees and customer service are far above Avery! Two of us just purchased 106 FFDs $$$! 4 of those decoys were split! We showed all the receipts ,took pictures, then had to cut the 4 decoys in two! We cut them like shells to use in the field, that wasn't good enough! we had to cut them again to make them totally useless. If you guys feel after spending almost $4000,00 It's to much to ask to keep 4 split decoys and have them replaced ? If that's Avery's idea of customer service, You guys should be slamming Avery ! I am not impressed at all!

Hey wingman, remember whose website you are on. If you go and search in the forum for customer service reviews and even look at all the new decoys that avery has just come out with you will realize that they LISTEN to what there customers want and chances are the reviews on customer service are going to be good as well. I feel bad that you have spent $4000,00, that seems like an incredible amount of money. So much so that there may not even be an identifiable corresponding number in the English language.:D

they goose decoys look good, but for the price i'd rather have FA,GHG, or Hard Cores... i just found a hard core dealer with a great sale that im about to drop alot of money into, i mean my bud bought used ghg from Avery and im gettin a better deal and these are new. But there pricing them as high as FA,GHG etc and they dont look nearly as good, but jrode your right, there duck decoys look terrible!

i am not quick to slam anyone that comes out with a good product. hell, like you said it get's the consumer better products as all the manufacturers step up to try to compete to be the best. but it just blows me away how some very reputable (or at least they were in the past) come out with a product that looks like it was made in 1979... here is a good one i found the other night for tanglefree....gotta get me some of these...

Thanks by the way! If you hadn't posted this I would have had no desire to go to the Carrylite website where they are selling butt up feeder goose floaters for $39.99 per DOZEN!

BWAHAHAHA thats funny! How do they think they are gonna compete with GHG??? Also i think they should work on finding another way with how the heads and bodies are shaped! You can tell they were looking at an Avery decoy when they carved the prototype! They look pretty darn close withe the body styles!

You guys contradict yourselves so bad, You say how are they gonna compete against GHG? Then you complain they look like GHG decoys?
Well, what is it?
I know CarryLite has better customer service, I have dealt with both GHG & CarryLite. That will be a plus! As far as the price you guys keep pulling out of CarryLites web site. They won't undercut the distributers prices.
Why don't you go to the Avery site and then tell everyone how much they'll sell decoys factory direct to you for?
Then let us know!

Wing Man,
We have you destroy the decoys so you don't have to send them back. It saves you this shipping charges. We HAVE to do it because of past occurrences where multiple claims were made with the same decoys. We had this happen several times so we had to come up with a way to stop it. Had these events not happened, we wouldn't have the policy today.
thanks,
