View Full Version : MOJO Flyway Feeder.
I'm curious if anyone has had a chance to see one of these in action yet? I'm really considering picking one of these up for hunting ponds and marshes since I really need some surface commotion. I've got 2 regular Mojo's but they don't do anything for surface ripples.
Anyway, I'm just hoping someone has some opinions (good or bad) about this new product, like the overall quality, battery life, how much surface ripples it really produces compared to something like a quiver magnet, etc. I'd really love to see a video of it in action, but that might be asking too much :p
Here is a link to it at Macks, in case someone isn't sure what I'm referring too

Looks neat but a jerk string is way more effective and cheaper.

I agree with you on that, but who really wants to sit there and pull on that string the whole time? I have used a jerk string many times and there are a few situations I will continue using them but I think this new decoy will be practical for the times you either do not have enough time to rig up a jerk string or the water is too deep. To each his own.

i made one of these myself with an ghg oversized butt feeder. It's actually pretty simple to do, and alot cheaper than $100

I wouldn't get it. There's a very similar product that I got from Cabelas last year for 1/4 the price. I know it's not quite as pretty, and may not work quite as well, but I haven't had any problems with it. I've only used it about 15 times, but so far no problems. And it's on sale for $25 from Cabelas... but then again, I'm the type who would rather spend $100 on a dozen goose shells than over twice as much on full bodies...

Actually the quiver butt is not really close to this. The mojo appears to be closer to the Higdon Pulsator in that it looks like it will shoot water from it. If the quiver buts work anywhere near as well as the quiver magnets from Edge, you may be better off throwing rocks to get ripples.:D

First of all, a jerk string is not way more effective. I used two of the Higdon Pulsator decoys last year and they work pretty well. Do they create water movement like an Ice Eater? No, not at all, but they do 10 times as much as a quiver magnet. I would like to think that the Mojo Flyway Feeder will be the same, but I haven't seen one in action. On a still day, they will add a little movement to your spread, but don't expect them to make your whole spread "swim" around.

I'm curious about this myself, and also what type of water pump and batteries you used and whatnot. And of course include some pics!

I am pretty sure I watched the video about how to make your own on Youtube. Just do some searching and you should find it.

They look like they would work great. I imagine that it is basically the same as the Higdon Pulsator.
If I'm not mistaken the Higdon model runs on a much larger battery, so perhaps it puts out more power/ripples. I couldn't say for sure though, since I don't own either of them.
