location help

i'm wanting to do a unguided duck hunt in either n. dakota or on the platte river in neb.could somebody head me in the right direction.i'm not asking for the exact pothole or section of river,just areas where there is some public land or some private land that is not leased by an outfitter.any help would be appreciated.

Go north young man http://gf.nd.gov/ they will mail you a copy of the PLOT books with a color coded guide of public land!!!!

anytime man its always good 1st 2nd and 3rd week of oct is when i go and this year im going the 1st week wak and stak.:D
