View Full Version : Camoclad
Anybody have some experience with camoclading exterior of jon boat?
I'm looking to clad my boat but wanted to see how well it holds up over years of use.
Any feedback would be appreciated and pictures would also help!
Thanks

Well, I don't have a jon boat, but I put camoclad on my 18' Lund Alaskan. It has held up pretty dang well I would say. I hunted numerous days during Minnesota early goose and have hunted 4 days a week since the Wisconsin season opened and the only thing I've seen with it is that if you didn't get the camoclad on right in places then it will eventually rip. I couldn't get it smooth over the back corner of the splash rail on one side and it has since gotten worse. I eventually just pulled off the small piece that was ripped so that it would lay flat at least. I'm thinking that I probably shouldn't have tried to form fit it over the rail like that and think I'm going to cut it off above the rail. That's operator error though. I think camoclad is a great product. We actually scraped the side on a dock that didn't have a bumber corner and it tore, but it layed back down and never peeled back up. It's definitely better than paint. Hope that helps. Sorry, no pics.
