I have made several DIY bilge pump duck butts for our blind this year. We have a 12 volt power source in the blind. Would like to run one cord from it and have 6 duck butts running off of it. Need to be able to run the cord at least 80 yards because we have a hole in front of and behind the blind. How do u guys tie into a common line? Can I just use a landscape lighting cord with the spike-type connectors then silicone them or does there have to be a designated pos/neg line? Can I have the line split to run to the front and back and then have three bilge pumps on each line? Don't know much about power. Lookn for a cheap and easy solution.

what is the amp draw of each decoy? whats the output of your power supply? before you figure out how to wire them, you need to know the correct wire size to use, and the proper power supply size. at 80 yards your going to start seeing some voltage drop, so oversizing your wire will be necessary.
post up the amp draw or the watts of each decoy, and i can help you out from there.
btw, if each decoy is 12 volt dc, then you'll be wiring them in parallel. you can have a branch going to each hole, with 3 decoys wired in parallel on each branch, and then each branch cable would be wired in parallel at the power source. i would run an inline fuse on each branch, as well as fusing your power supply as well. as far as the proper cable to use, you really should use at the very least a water/sunlight resistant 2 conductor cable. i use a 16 gauge 2 conductor outdoor rated control cable for my mojo remote switch/power supply and so far its held up well to the elements.

Not sure of amp draw of each bilge pump. They are the seasense 600 gph bilge pumps from Walmart. I've looked on the seasense website, but it doesn't give that info. It does have a 3 amp fuse. I also put an inline 20 amp fuse next to the inline automotive flasher which makes it cycle.
We have an electric line at our lease. Our powersource is regular household 110v inverted to 12v. First year in this blind and haven't seen the inverter yet to give more specifics.
