I shot one last year here in KY like that, only it said "SC waterfowl" and then the numbers and I looked it up on the internet and found a number to call. Took a few phone calls, but I finally found that it was banded in South Carolina as a mallard restoration project, or something and when I told them the band #, they told me when and where it was banded and the approx age of the duck.

Hope this helps a little.

Only tamies I've ever shot in the wild were:

1 Drake - The one with you @ Woodland.
6 Drakes - Escapees w/ bands from the TR on a different farm about 10 or 11 years ago.

One guy on our farm a couple pits away from us shot one from TR 2 years ago. I had to be the bearer of bad news that it wasn't a migratory bird.
