Camera ?

i know nothing at all about digital cameras but curious if there is any cameras out there for under $300 that can take some pictures like what you guys are posting on here. I guess I want good sharp quality. I would love to take some pictures of birds in flight if i can get a camera that would give me good quality for the $$. I know you get what you pay for just curious if this is possible in the $300 range. thanks for any advice guys thanks. I have heard alot about sony

kyhonker- You will have a tough time in that price range on digital. The problem with digitals in this price range, is they have to "think" when they take the picture, slowing it down. From the time you release the shutter to the time it takes the picture is to great, and on action shots you miss alot. Still shots can be very good however.
You can get a Nikon 35mm with a standard zoom in this price range EASILY. If you want to go digital, I would wait, save up some more cash and shop then. You likely won't be happy with anything less than that IF you want action shots.

I just bought a Kodak Easyshare from wal mart for about $225 and it's a 6.1mp that takes great pics.
