Guys, you know as much as you go into it at Avery, it is not just a sport, it is a life style.and I would not trade this lifestyle for anything. Duck & Goose hunting is my life!!!

I wouldn't call it a lifestyle cause it don't pay the bills (yet) but darn close.

it's my lifestyle, i work to pay the bills :mad: but i'm thinking hunting. i have two loves, family and waterfowl

Ummm ... Waterfowl hunting? It's second only to breathing.

Actually, I hunt strictly for the sheer joy of watching my dawgs work. It's the three months of pleasure that we get from the nine months of training together. smile.gif

That's one of the good thing about our dogs Jim.
9 months training and HT's, and three months hunting. Twelve months of the season never closing thanks to them.

Almost forgot. Can't forget to add the snipe quail and dove added into those months as well.

I WOULD go everyday but fer some reason my folks think its more important to go to school than kill ducks????i dont get it

I try and get out two or three days a week from end of sept-Dec huntn duck thank god I have a underdstanding wife or maybe its that gold card she has???????????

Don't kid yourself Bob - it's defintely the gold card so just keep it paid paid until January.

I would love to never miss a day, but realistically shoot for 4-5 days a week, which usually means only on weekends, when the spouse allows me...Ah...the story of my life.

I get out has much has I can. Last yr. 2 to 3 time a week. Just got a new boat and blind. Hope to get out hunting more this yr.

Ireland is a land of loughs, rivers and bogs. Where they exist we find ducks!

There are no bag limits here and the duck shooting season starts on 1 September, running right through until 31 January. Most duck shooting here is flightline shooting or "duck flighting" as we refer to it.

A good, steady dog and a flight or two of duck on a windy autumn's evening or a frosty winter morning. Nothing could beat it!
