I had a great opener this past weekend getting limits of Blue Wingers on Saturday and Limited out on big ducks Sunday PLUS the real bonus of having duck for dinner last night and leftover duck in sandwiches at work today. I love the taste of duck!!! Duck breasts marinated for 24 hours and grilled to perfection. I might have to put some more breasts in marinade tonight. I got the marinade recipe from the Avery site, well almost. I was watching the video of those Memphis Boys shooting early season geese and since I was on the TV web site I looked at the other video clips and there was a recipe for duck breast poorboys. I did a little adjustment and Awesome! I hope everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable fall. Oh, you southern boy, it is very dry up hear and with the weather we are having, it will freeze up the lakes up here in no time. You should finally get ya some!

I shot a bunch of teal over the weekend, but Mallards were a little scarce in the area I hunted(SW Minn). Don't hold out on us, post that recipe for the poor boys!

For the recipe go to the Avey Web site and click on Journal Archives. Go to the storey Early Geese in Southwest TN. Go to full story. Click on the link to News Channel 3 Video. Watch the video and it will pop up other videos that you can watch as well. Pick out the poor boy recipe video and watch it. I made the recipe w/o the coleslaw. AWESOME!!! Maybe we out to have a recipe link. I here some of those southern Avery boys can make a mean duck gumbo!
