Great forums JJ, I am glad the weekend is here so I can finally register. Just curious but do you know why it is so hard to get in. It looks like it will be Monday before I can post, assuming I do get in.

I am not sure why you would have difficulty getting on the site to post. If you have trouble drop me a line and I will see if I can get someone to help you.

There are some pay for play sites as well
www.waterfowler.com (http://www.waterfowler.com) and www.duckcentral.com (http://www.duckcentral.com)
Ducks unlimited has a message board too and if its a valid question, you may get a response from a staff member like Mike Checkett, the south's regional biologist.

Flocknockers is also a very good site.

Try this link. It will link you to all kinds of waterfowl sites. Just a word of advise, lurk alittle bit before posting up and get a feel for each site.

I went to flocknocker, but it said the registration was disabled. Anybody know why?

Flocknockers is a very good forum. One of the things that makes that forum a positive place is that there are rules that are to be followed by all members and the rules are enforced. If you check the site regularly, you will see when there is open registration. Be patient, it will be worth it.

One rule that should be followed on any forum. Don't walk in thumping your chest like you are some duck killing god. Remember, you are a guest in someone elses house. Introduce yourself, get a feel for the room, and jump in when you are comfortable. If you go in guns a blazin' they are going to blaze right back at ya.

This is the best advice I have ever seen on a forum period. Thanks.

Flocknockers registration is only open the first week of every month and then is subject to a review by Cliff, the site owner. Can take a couple or 3 weeks to complete the process. To me it was well worth it.
From what I am hearing The Refuge is going to a referral system now. So you'll have to talk to a moderator and get them to recommend you for membership.
