Im sure it is no record but we tallied up the votes and the club this year killed 1087 ducks, blows last year out of the water by bout 6 or 7 hundered. I got in on a little of the action but I think its got to do with those 3 dozen ghg decoys thats down there !!!!!!!!!!!

that sure is a lot of ducks. You guys hunting there by St. Mary's? Sure is a lot of birds in that area. My partner and I managed to bag a little over 80 birds this year(82 to be exact). We really pounded them in the fields the last two days. We mostly hunt Caesars and Rocky Fork and we hit a few fields we have when the weather turns right. Good job this season.

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I've had to learn to like Michigan. No offense to any Michiganders

The season down south wasn't very good..........better than the last 2 but still not as good as it has been in the past..........

I have been hunting in Arkansas for over twenty years and this year was, by far, the worst I have ever seen.

we in north la stunk it up -- better than the last 2 years, but still WAY off from 3 years ago. Maybe next year.

Our duck season was very disapointing this year. All the public hunting pools went dry this summer on our local refuge cheyenne bottoms here in central Kansas. We shot a few ducks off ponds but nothing to brag about. We need about 12" of rain this spring otherwise we will another bad year next season. keep shootin em up for me boys good to hear peole having success with the duck numbers up.

no offence moat but you live in birmingham how many times do you hunt a tear 3 or 4 . you probably don't hunt enough to know the difference in a good season and a bad season.

Nitromag,

I would like to let you know I usually hunt in Arkansaa about 25-30 days a year and my dad and brother hunt about 50 days a year. With this said I think I am more than qualified to say that it was the worst year I have ever seen.

Nitromag,
I would think, since he is a Pro-Staffer and has land leased in Arkansas, that he would indeed know what a good year of duck hunting is. I think you should study the website a little more before you make assumptions. No Offense.

first of all i didn't know he was a pro staffer had i known that i wouldn't have posted the statement.
second off all the vast majority of people who live in or near large metropolitan area's that claim to be great hunters don't know **** and don't hunt enough during the year to know the difference between a good year and a bad year.
