First hunt of the season ocurred last weekend. GHG FB's mallards & geese set up in the peas. http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/1247/1sthunt37we.jpg The fog did not lift untill lunch time. Broke in my new Finisher as well. http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8997/1sthunt10iz.jpg

One bird short of 2 man limit. Darren on left with my girl Lily. http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/479/1sthunt22ic.jpg This was the first field test of '05 for many new Avery products. Enjoy the Season! I will!!!!

Can there be anything more difficult then telling drakes from hens at this time of year? Great shoot guys!

How do you come up one short? My guess is that those birds were commin' in hoards. I know it's not all about numbers but.........

Danada, Let's say I came up one short. My partner put his gun down for a while to let me bag a few birds. Only 3 hens after a close inspection.

Great looking picture. It looks to me like you had a great time. Those pea fields sure do make for a great hide.
