I finally got my mount back from the taxidermist. My molted pintail looked better than I expected. Not a bad duck for my first band.

You bet, southeast Kansas last year, two weeks into the season. It migrated all the way from Alaska. It was my first band, and I have watched three bands since then, that I couldn't shoot. How about that for tuff luck.

I admit I am extremely envious... I have wanted a nice Pintail to mount, and to get a banded one I think I would soil myself.
