Dry as can be here in the midwest. Had a long weekend putting seed in at one of our duck clubs (about 2500 lbs) and sure could use some rain to get it started. Western IL is bone dry in most areas, crops already have lost a significant amount of yield. If they don't get rain before long they won't make enough to amount to anything.
At least the grass isn't growing....

No Problem with rain up here! Most farmers in S.W. Manitoba are still flooded out. Standing water everywhere you look for miles. There will be lots of ducks this year...only problem will be finding a crop that has been seeded!!
thanks

The flooded areas include all southern MB... worst near Winnipeg & Deloraine, and a western block from Virden to Duck Mountains...right around the area most of you guys travel to. I may have to buy a neotub to hunt this year!
Are you excited yet?? Resident hunter season starts in less than 2 months!!

Actually for once i can say we are getting plenty of rain here. Almost two showers a week, but it's not hard rain.

Still dry as a bone here... Everything is dead or real close.. Planted 4 acres in the duck hole about 3 weeks ago and we got nothin poppin... Corn is lost for the year around here and the beans are almost lost... Gonna be a lot of bankrupt farmers if they didn't get insurance this year... :(

It just rained about 2-2.5 inches here. It has been a pretty wet summer for us. The floods from earlier did some damage to crops, but all the corn and beans are looking good.
The upside to it being this dry is that the river didn't rise and we ALL got our crops in.. The bad news is, it never rained after we all did it...I'm sure there are a few places that got some feed coming up but most of us got nuthin if you can't water it..

We went from too much rain to no rain at all and day after day of 90's. We did get a good soaking last night but now the humidity and 90's are back in the forecast. Some crops look good many look terrible! This year I have seen more fields in western MN not planted at all than any year I can remember.

Very dry here in Southern Ontario. Hot Hot Hot. water levels on the lake are dropping quickly. Got a shower on Monday but need a nice all day rain to give the crops a boost. Hope you get rain to get your crops growing in the duck hole.
