This past week I was traveling out west & saw some pretty exciting things!
First, I stopped in Salt Lake City and the migration is in full swing. There were very large numbers of waterfowl on & around the lake. From the car you could look in just about any direction & see birds in the air. With the youth hunt this weekend & season kicking off Oct. 5th, they should have a good start to their waterfowl seasons.
My next trip was up the coast from Portland to Seattle. The closer we got to Seattle, the more birds we saw. There were geese in just about every field we passed. The excitement was in the air from the hunters that we spoke with about goose hunting.
It might be a little ways off before season cranks up here in the south, but my blood is really pumping now!
