I started using GPS in my scouting and hunting trips last year for a bunch of reasons. Does anyone else use a GPS- I am curious?

They are now standard equipment for myself a few other guys on the river, When the fog rolls in and you can't see which way is up a compass just doesn't cut it. Also good for ploting old creek beds to avoid the dreaded stump fields.

That's exactly what I got it for... but now I use it for everything. Rather than staking fields, I can mark it invisably with the GPS. I trust it enough to drive down grown over field roads, etc... I am surprised more people don't use them.

GPS is standard equipment in my bag right next to a Motorola with weather channels.

I use gps, probably saved my life in iraq, land navigation is hard when youre in a flat desert and have no referance points, my unit was out front so if we got lost, the whole army got lost!

after that experience, ill use gps for any and all occasions :D

Welcome home brother- Thanks for giving up your duck and goose season so we could enjoy ours. Your sacrifices don't go unnoticed.
