Anyone else punish them selves by chasing turkey with a bow??

i do and love to do it i havent got very many with my bow but it adds a little excitement to the hunt

I do as well. I originally started because I enjoyed hunting with some friends of mine in NE. However some of the areas they hunted a non res could never get a firearm permit for so...archery was over the counter and a logical choice. Now I can get over the counter firearms tags where they live but I still rather stick em with an arrow or "arrah" for you southern folk. :D

This is my favored method of pursuit for turkeys along with a ground blind and decoys. It's amazing how weary them birds are but will completely ignore a ground blind... really puts the odds in the archer's favor.

I have never hunted a spring Gobbler with my bow, but I usually hunt the fall season with a bow because here in PA you can take both a buck or a Turkey at the same time. Thats really exciting when you dont know what you are going to have a shot at in the woods. Gotta love it
