I shoot a SBE II, after returning a Browning Gold I won in a contest. The Browning would not cycle a shell when it was below 40 degrees, and living in northern MN, that is not good. But I love the SBE II, shooting 3 1/2 inch shells recoil like a 20 gauge, its great.

I am currently shooting a Browning Gold had it since 98 and I love it. But I also shoot a Winchester Super X 2 for backup. All in all any gun would work for me. The most dependable is Winchester Model 12.

Remington SP-10 in Mossy Oak Breakup

Jed, you don't hold back do you? That gun would wear me out. I have been shooting a SBE that I bought in 1993, there is no telling how many rounds have gone through that gun.

Ed- I currently have a Franchi 912 Variomax for waterfowl that I liked ALOT at the beginning of the year, but it will soon be replaced with a Winchester X2.
For upland birds I shoot a Rem 1100 that I have had for 17 years. At one time that was my go to gun for EVERYTHING, until I got caught up in the 3 1/2 inch chamber craze. I have a pair of 870's that I keep for back up but like you, I would rather pull the trigger and forget pumping, breaking open actions etc.

Beneli Nova pump. Love it to peices. I shot my dads superX2 alot this year when I went out with friends. I shot better with it. I never missed my first shot with that thing. It came up well, and swung great.

SBE II with a WW Supreme tube for geese and long range / diver duckin' and I use a WW SWAT12 tube for normal swamp / hole duckin'.

LOVE IT!!!! Kill numbers went up drastically while cripple numbers went down exponentially - after switching guns (Xtrema - didn't fit) and tubes (C-n-C - to open).

Winchester Super X2. Had a pile of shells through it and still running strong. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Ed,

Really enjoy my Superx 2's, been shooting them since they came out, the trap style rib eliminates having to "cheek up" the gun too much, I just purchased another one before Canada last fall.

Scott, I have had this gun for 3 full seasons and would not trade it for anything.A proven workhorse with NO problems at all.
I hunt geese mostly, So I like the little extra the 10 gives. And the way I shoot, I need all the extra I can get! :D

I had an SBE for about 7 years. Had afew minor problems with it, but overall not a bad gun.

Primary is a Winchester Super X-2 with a Wad Wizzard Supreme in it. It is in shadow grass pre-duratouch. My back up gun is a Baikal M153 synthetic with a Wad Wizzard Swat in it. I shoot it often just to keep good with it.

I have a Benelli SBE and a Benelli M1 Super 90. I love both of them. Like Brett said, the WW tubes in these guns turns them into bird killing machines...

I guess I'm the only one still shootin an 870. I've got a 870 super mag with synthetic stock. It's the most reliable gun I've ever owned. It's been completely submerged in water, it's been in mud, sand, fell off the fourwheeler a few times, and all kinds of other stuff and it still shoots as good as the day I got it.

Eric,

I thought you sold that SX-2. You are a Remington guy. You just need to admit it. I am proud to say I shoot an 870.

Thanks,

I shoot a Baikal O/U. Love it. My old gun-current back-up is an 870. I put that 870 through hell, 14 years of saltwater, sand and ice.

I shot a Remington 11-87 most of this past season. I put a Monte Carlo stock with an adjustable comb on it because I like a high shooting gun, (built in vertical lead for those birds climbing out of the spread).
