Ed- I have a pair of Cabelas "Warrior waders" and I wouldn't want anything else. Neoprene made me sweat in my walks into the marsh, and canvas never held up. The warrior waders are lightweight, BREATHABLE, and tough. Neoprene also seemed to cause resistance when I walked, where as these are like wearing a pair of pants with knee boots. I have NEVER been cold in them, and I have never been to warm. Even busting ice they are plenty warm. Good luck.

Cabela's has a great line of waders. Lacrosse wader have been very good to me as well.

I have a pair of Cabela's Super Mag waders and I love them. They can be a little warm to wear on long walks, but I have never been cold in them...

I've got a pair of Lacrosse Super-Tuff 600 gram thinsulate neoprene waders and those things are the ticket right there. We had to bust through 3 inches of ice(big deal down here in the south) and i never got cold. Not bulky or stiff like those canvas waders.

My brother and I each got a pair of Hodgmans out of their outlet store off the internet. They have 1200g of Thinsulate and cost I think $72.00 a piece and shipping for both of them was $3.25. We love them. I have another pair of hodgmans that only had like 200 or 400g and my feet would get pretty cold. Now they stay nice and toasty. Just my .02

Lacrosse They have been the most comfortable and durable wader I've ever owned in 35 years.

I also have Cabela's brand waders. I have had them for 3 years and like them.
Check out there selection in their Waterfowl issue.

Thanks,

I have had neoprene waders from Hodgeman, LaCrosse, and a pair of thin canvas from Red Ball. The weather really dictates what type of wader I wear. Our weather can be 90 one day and 20 the next. The thin canvas are my favorite because they don't hinder your movement.

I have used several Cabela's brands in the past, and am currently on my 3rd year with their Armour Flex style wader. My experience with them says they are nasty tough.

I wear waders very often and have worn out way more than I care to remember. I have tried many different brands, but have had excellent results with LaCrosse boots. I have also used Cabela's boots and currently have a pair made of 5mm neoprene with a tough nylon outerlayer which is the best pair of neoprenes I've ever owned (sorry, I can't remember the model and it isn't listed on the label). I don't think there is a product which the term, "You get what you pay for" more aptly applies. In my experience, cheap boots will not last.
