How many of ya'll have hunted canada geese in a peanut field? They love 'em down here in Texas. Got lots of the small Richardsons geese in West Texas. Finisher blind and the Greenhead Gear full bodies did the trick!! Little peanut stubble and some mud and the Finisher and dog blind disappeared. :D
Love those flocked heads on the Decoys!! Gotta get me some more!!!

I have hunted in the mud of Texas. It is quite an experience. There are plenty of geese and ducks to go around. We are glad that you like your new full bodies. Please keep the pictures coming.
Good Hunting!

Awesome photo! Thanks for sharing. I myself have never hunted in Texas either but the Hudnall boys guided down there for a few years and they have had some great hunts!

Yep, the canada goose hunting is great here. I hunt a little west of North central Texas and it is 90% the smaller subspecies of canada geese (Richardsons Geese). In the second picture below you can see the geese ain't much bigger than the two mallards on the left. Looking forward to adding those full body Greenhead Gear Lessors to the spread when they come out!!

I have heard of ducks eating peanuts, but never geese. Everybody I have talked to said that dirt is hard on equipment. Glad to see the decoys and blinds are helping you with your success.
Thanks,

Thanks,Yea, the "Dirt" is more like sand. However, you are right. It is tough on equipment. That sand gets into everything!! Not much will grow in the area very well except peanuts and cotton and the geese LOVE the peanuts. The fields we are in are usually harvested peanut fields with winter wheat planted. It is like a buffet table for the ducks and geese.
Not great pics, but this is kinda what it looks like. These pics were taken before we got the Avery blinds and fullbodys. We were using white parkas (there are always a few snow geese around) and LOTS of silly-wet decoys.

North Texas and Southern Oklahoma seem to be a ''Hot Spot'' for those little Richardsons and Lessers in those peanut fields. Probably some of the best Canada goose hunting around from what I hear..
WTD, Looks like you have had a really good season!
