Hi all - Last year I purchased 2 doz of the Hot Buy Mallards which are performing as well as they look. This weekend I was re-weighting 12 of them for a river hunt and noticed that one 'hen' looked like she went thru a sand blaster - all the paint was worn right off.

So I pulled all 24 deoys out of the bag and laid them out ..... they all looked brand new - a few chips here and there...except for that one Hen mallard.

Any idea why this would happen to only one decoy ??

They all have been used exaclty the same - fresh water ponds - and no I didnt drop it out the back of my truck. I am definitley not complaining as I love the decoys and especially the price...but thought it was really weird that one decoy lost all of its paint ??

It sounds like that one hen has missed a process. When you have mass production there is the occasional decoy that gets "miss placed", it sounds like that is your case. I would contact Julie at 1-800-333-5119 and she should be able to help you out.

Thanks,

This was noticed in other boxes of Hot Buys as well. This error has been corrected and we are movong forward with it. You should not have anymore problems if you decide to buy some of the 2004 Hot Buy mallards. Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Good Hunting!

Thanks for the replys - I dont expect a replacement or anything - I was jsut wondering if this happend to anyone else and as the replys state you have. But if it had happened to the whole lot...then thats another story.

I do plan on buying a doz of the Black duck decoys as soon as they are available - So please let us know.

Its nice to see a company care about its consumer and products.

Thanks

You will see the Black Ducks on the shelves beginning the latter part of this summer, as Travis said, you will not be disappointed.
