I purchased my new"flock" this week, with much excitment to try them out this week I began to assemble them.Spray bottle with a soapy solution to ease thre heads on.The very last box I assembled one of the heads (active)split from the bottom almost up to the cheek patch. Is this a common prob or just alittle too much material in the mold/tight tolerances. Thanks in advance

I have also found that with the Bigfoot replacement heads, if you soak the head in a bucket of hot water before trying to screw them on it goes MUCH faster and I had none in six dozen split.

I have had about 5 heads split on the 12 I own. It did not happen when I was originally attaching them- but after.

I have been using multiple black zip ties along the neck to prevent them from splitting any more.

This has been working good so far. Good luck

We have seven dozen and have never had one split yet. Marsh, I would guess that you may have receive a batch that had something wrong with them. I am sure you have, but if you haven't, just give CS a call and they will hook you up - no problems!

marsh menace,

Are your heads flocked? If they are, let me know so we can get this taken care of ASAP. We know the flocked heads are 2004 models and I will personally make sure you get taken care of.

Thanks,

Thanks for the help. They are working fine for now! I will contact Julie after the season and see if we can work something out.

I still think they are the best 'production' made fb decoy on the market!
